Andrew Solomon Napuat is a Ni-Vanuatua politician. He was elected to Parliament of Vanuatu in January 2016 with new faces described by Vanuatu Daily Post as new bloods to dominate 61% of next legislature.[1]. He was a Parliamentary Secretary for Internal Affairs before he became a member of the Cabinet in 2018 after a reshuffle by Prime Minister Charlot Salwai Tabimasmas.[2]
On November 29 2016, he was featured in the Washington Times online after presenting in a Conference where he was quoted saying “Peace begins by seeing ‘humanity as ourselves’”.[3]
Andrew Solomon Napuat is currently the Vanuatu Minister of Internal Affairs,[4] which he is responsible for legislation and policies for Vanuatu Police Force and National Security, Department of Labour, Immigration Services and Passports, Civil Registry and Vital Statistics, Electoral Office, Local Authorities, Provincial Affairs and Municipalities, Public Land Transport Authority, Police Service Commission, Electoral Commission.
He has also contributed to the Vanuatu’s Justice and Social Affairs, Sports, Right to Information, Gender Equity and the Agricultural sector.
