Investigation into the suspension of Commissioner of Police, Albert Nalpini, is still in progress.
Minister of Internal Affairs, Andrew Napuat made the confirmation when he was asked to provide an update on the suspension of the top Police boss.
Declining to comment on the issue, Andrew Napuat said the issue is within the jurisdiction of the Police Service Commission and they are currently handling the matter.
Napuat explained that regardless of whether the investigators are junior police officers or senior police officers, they have the same power to carry out an investigation.
The President suspended the Commissioner of Police last month on the advice of the Commission, after consultation with the Minister responsible for police.
