Immigration Office Faces Overcrowding

Amid a surge of people at the immigration office this week for passport collection, Minister of Internal Affairs Andrew Napuat has met with the Director of Immigration and staff to find solutions to the issue.

A backlog of 7,000 passports, which has now been completely printed, contributed to the high turnout that was not anticipated by the office.

Minister Napuat is hopeful that the congestion will ease by Friday.
